This spotlight derives from the analysis of over 900 respondents who completed an optional survey, made available to all candidates completing automated video interviews for apprenticeships for Sonru clients between January 2017 and February 2018.

The Candidate Experience

  • 95% felt sufficiently informed as to what was required
  • 89% satisfaction with the candidate experience, 9% neutral
  • 93% would complete a video interview again

Video Interview Completion Specifics

  • 28% completed their video interview on a mobile device
  • 98% completed their video interview at home
  • 90% finished the video interview in their native language

Other Key Findings from Apprenticeships

  • 9% of respondents had completed an automated video interview in the past
  • 81% had positive feelings toward the hiring company when they received the invitation, with a further 17% neutral
  • 89% confidence in how the technology worked
