Hiring teams often assume candidate dropout means they are losing out on top talent. But is that really true?
Turns out it’s not.
The persistent myth that pre-hire assessments are a barrier to completion of the application process is one many HR practitioners battle as they work to bring standardization and rigor to organizational hiring routines. Just like so many other aspects of hiring, candidate dropout can be scientifically analyzed and understood.
We decided to take on scientific investigation into the issue of applicant dropout several years ago after discovering a lack of scholarly research on the topic. We created a ground-breaking research program around dropout to create a body of knowledge we found to be missing.
We wanted to complete this research to help our clients better understand candidate dropout and equip them with the data and understanding they needed to educate their own stakeholders on what the science shows and create a basis for best practices.
This webinar highlights our empirical research into drivers and consequences of candidate dropout decisions and examines situations when such dropout is harmful, when it’s actually beneficial, and what you can do to make sure you are not losing out on top talent to attrition.
Watch this webinar to find out:
- The common assumptions about why candidates drop out
- What factors really impact your completion rates
- Who are the candidates leaving the application before completion
- If completion rates are even a useful metric to track
Learn more about how we are leading the field in our research and arming practitioners with data to better understand their hiring processes and outcomes.
This program is valid for 1 PDCs toward SHRM-SCP recertification.
