As an HR Tech vendor, we only see what happens on our system but do not know what happens before and after our clients use our platform.
Over the years, we have regularly interviewed clients and published case studies. After some time, we wanted to present empirical data to support the case study anecdotes, so we published ‘The Recruiter Experience of Video Interviewing,’ based on a rolling online survey, still rolling, with Sonru Video Interviewing clients. This new white paper, 360˚ View of Video Interviewing in Action, is merry in-between of both these research methodologies. So along with many structured interviews conducted with Sonru Video Interviewing clients across Europe and the Asia Pacific over the summer of 2019, and borrowing from more than sixty previous case study interviews, we are delighted to present a 360˚ View of Video Interviewing in Action.
360˚ View of Video Interviewing in Action brings together both recruiters and hiring managers from across the globe in a comprehensive, qualitative study on the behaviors, learnings, and attitudes towards Video Interviewing and its impact on the recruitment process during four key stages:
- The Application stage
- The Process itself
- How Selection decisions are made
- The post-hire Review
“The thing about quantitative research is that it gives us graphs and crude statistics, while the ‘story’ often gets lost in the data. As a researcher, answers to the ‘Why’ questions are far more telling than the descriptive ‘How’ and ‘What’ responses. Over hours of conversations with clients who willingly gave up their time, we’ve dug deep and found the story of Sonru Video Interviewing from both the clients’ and candidates’ perspective and I’m delighted to share these findings with you.” – Joy Redmond, Head of Research, Sonru
This research was created by Sonru Video Interviewing and includes contributions and research gathered from Sonru clients and candidates between 2011 to 2020.
